Barrie Trinder is a competent photographer and has always provided illustrations of good quality for his own lectures and books. His pictures have been used in a variety of other publications, and transparencies or black and white prints from his collection can be provided for reproduction at cost reasonable in books and other purposes. The collection falls into several principal categories.Examples can be seen throughout this website.
- Black and white coverage of railways between 1954 and 1964, principally of the Banbury area, but with extensive coverage of the Great Central Railway London Extension and the Southern Railway in Kent, Sussex and Surrey.
- Colour and black and white views of most historic buildings and landscapes in Shropshire, with particular emphasis on Industrial Archaeology.
- Colour and some black and white coverage of most sites of industrial archaeological significance in England and Wales, with some coverage of Scotland.
- Colour and some black and white coverage of the principal sites relating to industrial heritage in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, with rather less full coverage of France, Greece, Italy, Poland and Spain, and some material from Canada and the United States.
